assess a sense of place.

do.
- Walk 1: Short walk in neighbourhood to experience being
tracked.
- View and discuss routes in the customised GoogleMaps
interface.
- Discussion of graphical representation of routes.
- Walk 2: Taking photographs with Landlines.
- View and discuss routes and how Landlines might be useful
to architects.

- May be useful for showing actual patterns of behaviour.
- Additional ways to add other kinds of data to routes
would be useful. e.g. emotion, memory, thoughts, feelings.
- Landlines could be useful as a diary for a designer exploring
a space.
- Landlines makes hidden feelings visible in a way that
an interview couldn't.
- Useful to see the personal experience.

"It informs us of the 'spirit of place' from another perspective.
It would quantify the ephemeral nature of how space/place is used. Gives
a visual/ physical interpretation/record of something relatively intangible."
"It gives information about how people feel in different
environments, like choosing certain routes, which helps designers work
according to the instincts and needs of people. To design cities and spaces
for people to feel comfortable and safe."
